A "Pitch Perfect" sequel has been confirmed.  Universal Pictures says it's on board to produce a follow-up to the 2012 hit musical comedy.  The new movie is slated to hit theaters in 2015.

Kay Cannon, the "30 Rock" writer who penned the original film, is set to write the screenplay, but none of the original cast members, which include Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow or Rebel Wilson, have been confirmed for the sequel as yet.

"Pitch Perfect's" theatrical run has brought in major profits for Universal.  Made on a 17-million dollar budget, the movie brought in 112-million dollars worldwide.  Its soundtrack has sold over 630-thousand copies and even spawned the single "Cups" from Kendrick.

The cast reunited on Sunday to help Rebel Wilson open the MTV Movie Awards in her role as host of the show.

Katy Perry isn't as popular as she was two years ago - at least according GHD, the beauty company that's looking to drop her from an endorsement deal.

According to "TMZ," the British hair care line has filed a two-million dollar preemptive lawsuit against the singer over some disagreements about the end of her contract.  GHD says Perry's people threatened to sue after the the company decided against renewing her contract, which started in 2011.

Katy's side claims the star deserves the two-million dollars she was promised in an oral agreement before being dropped out of the blue.  The company decided to strike first, asking the court to block the singer's camp from filing a lawsuit.

But Katy's rep says GHD's lawsuit is "an attempt to embarrass" Katy with "defamatory statements" and that they also plan to take legal action if the company doesn't pay up.  They also say GHD is backing out of the deal over "an ownership change" that has nothing to do with Katy's star power.

The pop songstress was spotted at a local gay bay in Abbot Kinney neighborhood of Venice, California, and apparently she was getting DOWN with one lucky lady! One source claims it was easy to tell they were on a date, saying: “It was definitely more than two friends checking out a gay bar - Ke$ha was very comfortable. They were totally into each other and stayed very close together”
